     The Investigation Supervisor for the District Attorney's Office supervises the Family Violence Officer and the Elder Abuse Specialist, and handles a variety of criminal cases for the prosecution.  These cases are generally submitted by other law enforcement agencies and require follow-up, or are generated directly from the public through the District Attorney's Office.  The Investigation Supervisor is on callout 24/7 for major crimes committed in Plumas County .  Generally, the Investigation Supervisor conducts investigations, interviews witnesses, victims and suspects, and assists with crime scene evidence collection.   

 

 

The Family Violence Officer assists with the investigation of domestic violence, rape and child abuse cases for the prosecution.   The Family Violence Officer is on call 24/7 for these types of crimes and generally responds to the scene and interviews victims, witnesses and assists with crime scene evidence collection.  She also is assigned other investigative tasks by the Investigation Supervisor. 

 

 

     The Investigative Specialist for the District Attorney’s office assists in all types of criminal investigations.  She assists in court preparation which includes locating and interviewing witnesses and suspects, and also serves subpoenas.  As a specialist, she investigates and works toward preventing abuse against Elders and Dependent Adults.  She also works closely with the schools in the county dealing with truancy issues and threat situations by students.
